On August 2nd, The British Columbians “pre-released” on iTunes and Amazon the two new tracks posted in the streaming player to the left: “A Fine Mess” & “Broke & Busted”. We are all really excited about them and are looking forward to getting back in the studio to finish the album in the next month or so here. In the meantime we hope you enjoy these two! Hey guys.

We have posted two new tracks on the left hand side of thebritishcolumbians.com for you all to check out. These tracks are from the digital release that will be made available to download from iTunes and Amazon on August 2nd (BC Day). In the meantime however you can listen to the two songs right here!

The songs are called “A Fine Mess” and “Broke & Busted” and were recorded and produced a few weeks back by Colin Stewart at The Hive. Colin has produced albums for Vancouver based and critically acclaimed bands Black Mountain and Pink Mountaintops. We are excited to be heading back into the studio to finish recording the entire second album at the end of September. Until then…we hope you enjoy the new music!

Hey guys.

Just a heads up that we’ve added some live audio tracks from the unplugged CBC radio show we did back in February and from “The Rock Report” we did at CFOX last fall. You can listen to them over in the “Live Audio|Demos” player on the left hand side of the website. We hope you dig em.

We will also be adding some demos from the forthcoming album in the coming weeks and months too.
Next studio dates start on June 23rd at The Hive again. Woohoo!

Yesterday the Globe and Mail “Report on Business” published a full page article called “Tide Rising Against Bottled Water” and referenced the Brita commercial and The British Columbians song. You can read the entire article here.

Some pretty exciting news for us last week when we got confirmed that The British Columbians had gotten the song “A Fleeting Chance” placed in a nationwide TV commercial for Brita Water! We had been crossing our fingers in hopes (read previous post “GET YOUR MUSIC OUT THERE”) and we got confirmation a few days later! Pretty dang cool. The ad began airing this week and is expected to be going for a while to come. Please drop us a line and let us know where and when you’ve seen it. In the meantime you can check it out here.
